AC and DC electric motor rewinds and repairs are at the core of our business and our team of highly skilled electro-mechanical engineers, working with fully proved technology and to exacting industry standards, ensure that your motor is returned to top working specification with the minimum of delay.
Most of the electric motor rewind and repair jobs we receive are sent to us by existing customers or by companies who have been recommended to contact us. Generally speaking we can provide a rough estimated cost and timescale over the phone and very often customers will remove the faulty motor while we arrange transport up to our factory. Sometimes, however, customers like us to visit their site to assess the job and if necessary to remove the motor for them – either for an on-site repair if that is feasible – or to bring it back for a major rewind, repair or overhaul.
All our work is fully guaranteed and is supplied with a Baker Test Certificate on all tested windings. We are qualified to work on any make of motor, but have particular expertise on the following: Brook Crompton, Baumuller, Bull, Demag, Siemens, Woods, Asea, Thrige Scott, GEC, Bauer, SEW and ABB.
A failure of magnetic bed posed a significant problem to large local engineering company, due to size, weight and physical handling of the magnetic bed. Electramec were asked if we could come up with a solution.
Our engineers attended site and discussed all options with the customer. Electramec proposed to repair the magnetic bed on site, which was agreed much to the relief of the customer. With careful planning and design Electramec carried out the repairs as required without disruption to the customer and were able to complete repairs ahead of schedule.
